You, and me, and everybody else on "God's Green Earth" could make our own interpretations and comments upon the artwork of the "father of the modern[ist?] sculpture", Constantin Brâncuşi (Romanian pronunciation: [konstanˈtin brɨnˈkuʃʲ].
It would be interesting and inciting, in the variety of the different and even contradictory opinions of ours.

What I am trying to do is to provide such oh-so-busy readers with at least a meaningful fragment from such an article - again, on ANY subject.  In this case, about Constantin Brâncuşi.

The problem with the wonderfully-colored Kruger postcards is that they obviously used a highly-acidic, quickly-deteriorating paper for postcard backing - just look how it appears now, after some 30 years:

That should teach YOU a lesson, you people who EXPECT and DEMAND that ALL your stamps, postcards, labels and any other paper memorabilia MUST resist for a long time.

Be happy if your LIFE resists for a long time, and don't expect the acidic paper items to do the same.

A smart thing to do is to scan or photograph whatever paper item is worth the effort, and immortalize it, until the next TUNGUSKA-level global cataclysm. :)

Maximaphily

Maximaphily is a branch of philately, or stamp collecting, that means collecting maximum cards.

Postcard sent as maximum card, from France: Mont Saint-Michel

Today, Feb 25, I have received, after 6 days, this great (perhaps unique in the world in this exact configuration?) maximum card, from my friend E. in France. Merçi beaucoup, Madame! :)

I specifically asked her the favor of finding a Mont Saint-Michel stamp and affix it solidly (not just "salivating" at it, if it's not self-adhesive) on the PICTURE SIDE of a matching postcard. Not to fall off, in the mailstream.

Instead of sending me just a normal postcard, franked and stamped on the address side, she managed to create a maximum card for me, while she was "at it".

Normally, a French maximaphilist obtains a normal (or pictorial), round handcancel/postmark on such a Mont Saint-Michel maximum card project.

Well, I got a clean, non-smeared, non-smudged, spray-on inkjet, linear, machine postmark.

I like it very much! :)

Normally, I ask my friends to try to get a handcancel/postmark, because there is only a small chance that an automated postmark will end up being clear and clean of ink excess. Or the machine might skip it altogether.

The same kind of maximum card sent as postcard is possible in USA, if you deal with open-minded postal associates. But my friends from Germany tell me that there it is verboten. Cannot do that.

Instead, in Germany you have to provide full postage on the address side, and maybe, if you're lucky, the postal clerk will postmark your stamp from the picture side, too.

Most of the time, though, you have to just drop it in the mailbox and it probably will not become a maximum card as you hope.  :(

Dans l'image ci-dessous, il ya trois motifs des timbres que j'ai fait (c'est moi sur la photo) pour comparer la taille de l'image et du cachet global, de ces trois fournisseurs.

J'ai zoomé à stamps.com parce que je ne pouvais qu'espérer pour un portrait, car leur taille est si petite.

J'ai dézoomé pictureitpostage à montrer le plus de la trame d'exposition philatélique derrière moi.

Et j'ai dézoomé encore plus à zazzle.com, pour obtenir le fond noir en haut de l'image, de placer mon texte.

Chaque vendeur devrait tirer des leçons de zazzle que permettre la personnalisation de texte est un avantage concurrentiel, un killer app.








Pourquoi une carte postale personnalisée? Ne pouvez-vous acheter d'autres commerciales avec n'importe quel sujet voulez, n'importe quand, n'importe où? Euh, non, tu ne peux pas!
Voici un exemple de carte postale personnalisée, devant et derrière, que j'ai créé à winkflash.com (dites-leur Salut! de Dorinco)

Le texte ci-dessous ne scanne pas bien, mais en réalité elle est beaucoup mieux.



La chose la plus difficile de ces trois mentionnés dans le titre est de créer votre propre cachet de la poste picturale, juridique et ayant valeur d'affranchissement de votre poste (USPS dans mon cas - le United States Postal Service)
Au usps.com, vous pouvez découvrir comment certains groupes peuvent obtenir la permission d'avoir et d'utiliser certaines marques postales pictural, dans le Règlement.

Je parle ici de vous, en tant qu'individu. Voici ma solution, toujours dans les règlements USPS, autant que je sache.

J'ai fait une demande de permis Postmark Mailer à USPS, puis j'ai payé pour un canceler appropriée (le dispositif oblitération) à partir d'un fournisseur donné (détails plus loin).

Si je veux pictorialize mon cachet de la poste, je vais appliquer certaines timbre en caoutchouc DROIT à côté de mon cachet de la poste, sans chevauchement (juste pour pacifier USPS).

Voici comment l'encre régulière (la prochaine fois je vais acheter STAZ-ON encre) effectue sur le papier de bureau simple:

Je vais en créer quelques-uns, dans le budget.

Je collectionne aussi des timbres, mais il ya des millions de collectionneurs qui possèdent les autres millions d'exemplaires de ces timbres même, habituellement. Combien de cartes-maximum pensez-vous exister avec un certain cachet? Combien sont-collecteur créé? Par ailleurs, combien de cartes maximum sont personnalisés timbres? Combien ont été créés par vous, pour la jouissance du monde de philatélie, immortalisant vous dans le processus?

CURIOSITE n'est pas le plus grand facteur dans la valeur d'un objet de collection? Certaines exceptions s'appliquent, bien sûr.

Après avoir recueilli seulement les timbres depuis plus de 35 ans, ont toutes été créées par d'autres, j'ai décidé de créer:
- Mes propres timbres personnalisés, à partir de plusieurs pays
- Mes propres cartes postales (même personnalisé avec le texte imprimé sur le dos, à partir de winkflash.com, par exemple)
- Mon canceler propre (oblitération appareil), approuvé par le United States Postal Service (USPS), le permis est appelée MPP-voir détails ci-dessous.
