No, your ex-girlfriend is NOT the land mammal with the biggest mouth. It's The COMMON HIPPOPOTAMUS (Hippopotamus amphibius). I show you WWF maxicards from CONGO DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC (ex-Zaire)

"The hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), or hippo, from the ancient Greek for "river horse" (ἱπποπόταμος), is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae (the other is the Pygmy Hippopotamus.) After the elephant, the hippotamus is the third largest land mammal and the heaviest extant artiodactyl, despite being considerably shorter than the giraffe.

The hippopotamus is semi-aquatic, inhabiting riverslakes and West African mangroveswamps [3] where territorial bulls preside over a stretch of river [MY NOTE: that's a stretch] and groups of 5 to 30 females [MY NOTE: that's EVEN MORE of a stretch, but hey!...] and young."

"Despite their physical resemblance to pigs and other terrestrial even-toed ungulates, their closest living relatives are cetaceans (whalesporpoises, etc.) from which they diverged about55 million years ago.[4] The common ancestor of whales and hippos split from other even-toed ungulates around 60 million years ago".

"Even though they are bulky animals, hippopotamuses can run faster than a human on land. Estimates of their running speed vary from 30 km/h (18 mph) to 40 km/h (25 mph), or even 50 km/h (30 mph). The hippo can maintain these higher speeds for only a few hundred meters."

"The Democratic Republic of the Congo (FrenchRépublique démocratique du Congo) is a state located in Central Africa. It is the second largest country in Africa by area and the eleventh largest in the world. With a population of nearly 71 million,[1] the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the eighteenth most populous nation in the world, and the fourth most populous nation in Africa, as well as the most populous officially Francophone country.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is often referred to as Congo. However, in order to distinguish it from the neighbouring Republic of the Congo to the west, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is sometimes referred to as DR CongoDRC, or RDC (from its French abbreviation), or is called Congo-Kinshasa after the capital of Kinshasa (in contrast to Congo-Brazzaville for its neighbour). It also borders the Central African Republic and South Sudan to the north; UgandaRwanda, and Burundi in the east; Zambia and Angola to the south; the Atlantic Ocean to the west; and is separated from Tanzania by Lake Tanganyika in the east.[1]The country has access to the ocean through a 40-kilometre (25 mi) stretch of Atlantic coastline at Muanda and the roughly 9 km wide mouth of the Congo River which opens into the Gulf of Guinea."

It is the world's largest independent conservation organization with over 5 million supporters worldwide, working in more than 100 countries, supporting around 1,300[4]conservation and environmental projects. WWF is a foundation,[5] in 2010 deriving 57% of funding from individuals and bequests, 17% from government sources (such as the World Bank,DFIDUSAID) and 11% from corporations.[6]

The group says its mission is "to halt and reverse the destruction of our environment".[7]Currently, much of its work focuses on the conservation of three biomes that contain most of the world's biodiversityforestsfreshwater ecosystems, and oceans and coasts. Among other issues, it is also concerned with endangered speciespollution and climate change."

25th Anniversary WWF Stamp Collection
GROTH AG UPDATE

Article in Newsletter "The Nature of Business" WWF International January 2007
When Hans Groth, CEO of Groth AG, signed the contract with WWF in 1982, he was confident the WWF Stamp Collection would be a long-term product that would last for at least 10 years!
Today, Hans is proud to say that the collection - the largest thematic collection in the world - is still selling well and that his company will soon be celebrating a quarter of a century of collaboration with WWF. It is projected that the Collection will continue to be produced at least until 2011 when WWF will celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

To date over one billion stamps and almost 400 issues have been printed and sold, generating more than 20 million Swiss francs in royalties - an important source of funding for WWF's conservation activities.
Groth AG was established by Hans Groth in 1965. lt is a family-owned business of which Hans is the CEO and his son Daniel a member of the Board of Directors. Hans' wife Anita is responsible for production of the WWF Stamp Collection. Their offices are in Unteraegeri (Zug, Switzerland), a charming town in the foothills of the Swiss Alps.

At its 1998 Annual Conference in Interlaken (Switzerland), WWF awarded Hans Groth the Gold Panda Award - the organization's highest environmental prize - in recognition of his dedication to the cause of the environment.

Hans and Anita have expressed their pleasure at working with WWF, saying: "We wish to thank the team at WWF International for their confidence which has allowed us to produce this beautiful collection over the past 25 years."

Top 30 Stamp Collecting Blogs, by guidetoartschools.com

#2:
"Dorincard: Blogger Dorin C is a stamp and postcard fanatic, and luckily he's more than pleased to write prolifically and charmingly about his obsession. He has a particular bent for stamps with wild mammals on them, but his blog demonstrates an affinity for stamps of all forms and backgrounds, as long as they offer a special narrative that's worth sharing with his readers.

Postcards and stamps, mainly featuring mammals and birds but Dorincard also has other creations
and interests he likes to share.
His enthusiasm for Maximum cards (a postcard and a similar themed stamps sent through the
    postal system) shines through.
He shows how he gets the right card, stamp and postmark together.
Visiting his site you will also learn things about the natural world told with a dry sense of humour,
possibly with a play on words, and a unique style of headings.
Topical and informative both for the enthusiast and casual visitor.
