Per USPS, it is legal to postmark a foreign stamp, as long as you also postmark an American one, in the same stroke.
The 3 cents STAR stamp is only marginally, and abstractly related to the religious icon.
Who lives among stars, if anybody?...
Yes, it's a stretch - that's why I don't call this a FIP CfM-compliant maximum card.
But, hey! - it's still interesting, and unique in the world! :)
That MPP (Mailer's Postmark Permit) postmark from Sterling, VA 20165 is mine, and only mine, with #67.
"The expression "XPTO" is an old abbreviation of the word "Χριστός", written "Christós" (Christ, in Greek).
The letters X (chi), ρ (rho), τ (tau) and ό (omicron) were selected and capitalized (except the "X") to form the abbreviation. Since the selected letters are written the same way in the latin alphabet this abbreviation is commonly spelled "xpto", ex-pee-tee-o.
The expression XPTO is normally used to describe something with very good qualities (e.g.: I own an XPTO car)."

Wow, great to see your MPP! I know only two person with MPPs, you and Chris from GA. I have a question about the maxicard, does the postmark have to be related to the postcard and/or stamp? I have made some more maxis (yipeee) and want to bring it to the PO but I thought of asking you first just to be sure :)
Thanks again!
Yes, the postmark should be concordant/related to the stamp and postcard.
When that is not possible, I personally have no problem with a zoomed-out (on a national level) concordance of place (any Cambodian postmark will do for your MC, but a local one would be preferable; or from a different Cambodian locality, but with a pictorial related design).
Unlike FIP CfM, I allow postmarks that are not geographically concordant - I consider them "salutes/tributes/honoring" for the local subject.
:)
very informative.
glad you made the notion about the X in Christ.

Thanks, Dorin. Glad some rules are flexible!
The rules of FIP CfM are NOT flexible. In fact...
See here: http://maximaphily.info/Articles/Regulations/MXLY%20regulations%20approved%20in%20Malaga%20conference.%20English%20version.pdf
Only MY rules are flexible - I am flexing them like my muscles :D :D :D.
I say do what pleases YOU, unless you want to exhibit by THEIR rules.
You da boss! :)
Very nice choice of X.
Please come and find out what the Letter X is at my page. Have a lovely day.
