Not a true jaguar, leopard or wildcat: The OCELOT (Leopardus pardalis), also known as the dwarf leopard or McKenney's wildcat. Not a true ocelot: The MARGAY (Leopardus wiedii), also known as the Tree Ocelot. WWF maximum cards from El Salvador

Upper-left (UL) and LL :  The OCELOT (Leopardus pardalis). Mostly terrestrial.
UR and LR: The MARGAY (Leopardus wiedii), also known as the Tree Ocelot. Mostly arboricol.

"The name ocelot comes from the Nahuatl word ōcēlōtl (pronounced [oːˈseːloːtɬ]), which usually refers to the jaguar (Panthera onca) rather than the ocelot."
"The ocelot's genus Leopardus consists of nine similar species to the ocelot, such as Geoffroy's cat and the margay, which are also endemic to South and Central America
All of the cats in the Leopardus genus are spotted, lithe, and small, with the ocelot being the biggest of its genus."
Salvador Dalí and Babou the ocelot.
Guess which of the two was WILDER? :)

How many TEATS has YOUR pet cat? Go check.
DID YOU KNOW that MARK WAHLBERG has more nipples than a MARGAY, who has only 2...???
Mark Wahlberg, actor and producer as well as Calvin Klein underwear model and former singer known as Marky Mark, has a third nipple.[9]  He famously spoke about it to the press before considering an operation to have it removed, but has since reneged, citing his third nipple as his "prized possession"."

"The margay is very similar to the larger ocelot in appearance, although the head is a little shorter, the eyes larger, and the tail and legs longer.
It weighs from 2.6 to 4 kilograms (5.7 to 8.8 lb), with a body length of 48 to 79 centimetres (19 to 31 in), and a tail length of 33 to 51 centimetres (13 to 20 in).
Unlike most other cats, the female possesses only two teats."

"So, why do men have nipples? Because females do."

"The "female template" is the default for humans."
"Their advantage in females, in terms of reproductive success, is clear.
But because the genetic "default" is for males and females to share characters, the presence of nipples in males is probably best explained as a genetic correlation that persists through lack of selection against them, rather than selection for them.
Interestingly, though, it could be argued that the occurrence of problems associated with the male nipple, such as carcinoma, constitutes contemporary selection against them.
In a sense, male nipples are analogous to vestigial structures such as the remnants of useless pelvic bones in whales: if they did much harm, they would have disappeared."

"Most notably the margay is a much more skillful climber than its relative, and it is sometimes called
the tree ocelot because of this ability.
Whereas the ocelot mostly pursues prey on the ground, the margay may spend its entire life in the trees, leaping after and chasing birds and monkeys through the treetops.
Indeed, it is one of only two cat species[4] with the ankle flexibility necessary to climb head-first down trees (the other being the clouded leopard).
It is remarkably agile; its ankles can turn up to 180 degrees,[5] it can grasp branches equally well with its fore and hind paws, and it is able to jump up to 12 feet (3.7 m) horizontally.[4]
The margay has been observed to hang from branches with only one foot.

The margay is considered[by whom?] to be the true jungle cat, because it spends almost its entire life in trees."

See, that's the NIPPLE, I mean RIPPLE EFFECT of researching hyperlinks in wikipedia...:)
Enough about teats unless YOU can never have enough...

The SERVAL (Leptailurus serval) can jump straight-up and intercept in mid-air a bird flying at up to 2-3 meters above ground. It can also jump 3.6 m horizontally. I show you WWF maximum cards from BURUNDI

"English: Leptailurus serval demonstrating the 2.5 m vertical jump that he uses to catch birds flying overhead. But he is even better at catching mice. The average serval eats 4,000 mice per year."
BREAKING NEWS [I'm just kidding]: A new book manuscript has been found: "Of  Servals and MIce", by John Steinbeck. Critics say it will be even more successful than "Of Men and Mice".

How to kill a [mo]cking bird.
How to score a birdie (not an eagle).

The SERVAL "(play /ˈsɜrvəl/), Leptailurus serval, is a medium-sized African wild cat
Modern molecular DNA analysis indicates that servals maintain their own unique lineage descending from the same Felid ancestor as the lion
The serval shares common traits with the cheetah, and it is the cheetah which is thought to have descended from ancient servals.[3]
Similar DNA studies have shown the African golden cat and the caracal are closely related to the serval."

Note the large ears adapted for hearing small prey (like mice).

A serval viewed from behind.
Note the white markings on the ears (ocelli) used to signal kittens when hunting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serval

Like a student in an overly-demanding school system
"The serval eats very quickly, sometimes too quickly, causing it to gag and regurgitate due to clogging in the throat."

"The serval is an efficient killer, catching prey on an average of 50% of attempts (with a 67% success rate at night), compared to around one in ten attempts for most species of cat.[7]

Servals are extremely intelligent, and demonstrate remarkable problem-solving ability[citation needed], making them notorious for getting into mischief,[citation needed] as well as easily outwitting their prey, and eluding other predators.
The serval will often play with its captured prey for several minutes, before consuming it. In most situations, servals will ferociously defend their food against attempted theft by others.
Males can be more aggressive than females."

Translators from around the world have decided to dumb-down/ idiotproof the book title IL GATTOPARDO, so that the masses/ crowds/ simple minds/ simpletons / commoners [as the translators might have regarded most of us] will NOT scratch their heads asking:
"What the hell is a SERVAL?"
"The serval (Italian gattopardo) was the symbol of the Tomasi family, princes of Lampedusa, whose best-known member was Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of one of the most famous Italian novels of the 20th century, Il Gattopardo."

"The Leopard (ItalianIl Gattopardo) [MY NOTE: Romanian literary translation, not to be outdone: Ghepardul = The Cheetah] is a novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa that chronicles the changes in Sicilian life and society during the Risorgimento
Published posthumously in 1958, after two rejections by the leading Italian publishing houses Mondadori and Einaudi,[disambiguation needed] it became the top-selling novel in Italian history and is considered one of the most important novels in modern Italian literature.
The novel was also made into an award-winning 1963 film of the same name, directed by Luchino Visconti and starring Burt LancasterClaudia Cardinale and Alain Delon."

Top 30 Stamp Collecting Blogs, by guidetoartschools.com

#2:
"Dorincard: Blogger Dorin C is a stamp and postcard fanatic, and luckily he's more than pleased to write prolifically and charmingly about his obsession. He has a particular bent for stamps with wild mammals on them, but his blog demonstrates an affinity for stamps of all forms and backgrounds, as long as they offer a special narrative that's worth sharing with his readers.
