How long is the Amazon? This is a "40 cm"- long Amazon. The St. Vincent Amazon (Amazona guildingii), also known as St. Vincent Parrot. WWF maximum cards / maxicards / dorincards from St.Vincent.

Forgeries: how to spot fake stamps from St. Vincent about Michael Jackson, apart from the real ones

I suppose that the above maximum card, from my collection, is genuine. :)

From myphilately.com, a very nice and useful forum for stamp collectors, and not only - here's how to spot the fake stamps:

Michael Jackson official maximum card #2 from St. Vincent

Apparently, this series of 8 official maximum cards is very rare, if you disregard the possible fakes out there.
Think about it: from the many stamps of a certain design, relatively very few find their way into a maximum card.
Rarity. Not mass-production.

Michael Jackson mini-sheet of stamps #1 Saint Vincent

"Ever since the tragic death of the Pop legend Michael Jackson, there has been a steady rise in sale of his albums, so has the Philatelic items connected to him, but there is a news that there are a lot of fakes which has been circulated even in popular auction sites, specially stamps and other items of St.Vincent. So Philatelists beware."

Michael Jackson - Official maximum card from Saint Vincent

I like very much this Michael Jackson official maximum card from Saint Vincent (postal autonomy of the state Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; the Grenadines of Saint Vincent have also postal autonomy).
This specific photo is one of Michael's best, in my opinion; it shows him in his prime, and it catches his likeness and spirit in a very representative way. This is the quintessential Michael.
A great, influential, controversial and tragic life story...

Although this is an Official maximum card, on an oversized postcard, by Saint Vincent Post, it is NOT a traditional FIP maximum card!!! (www.maximaphily.info) It's non-traditional.
FIP says that the stamp should NOT replicate identically the image of the postcard. I know...
But guess what? I STILL LIKE IT!!! :)
Do you?

Top 30 Stamp Collecting Blogs, by guidetoartschools.com

#2:
"Dorincard: Blogger Dorin C is a stamp and postcard fanatic, and luckily he's more than pleased to write prolifically and charmingly about his obsession. He has a particular bent for stamps with wild mammals on them, but his blog demonstrates an affinity for stamps of all forms and backgrounds, as long as they offer a special narrative that's worth sharing with his readers.

Postcards and stamps, mainly featuring mammals and birds but Dorincard also has other creations
and interests he likes to share.
His enthusiasm for Maximum cards (a postcard and a similar themed stamps sent through the
    postal system) shines through.
He shows how he gets the right card, stamp and postmark together.
Visiting his site you will also learn things about the natural world told with a dry sense of humour,
possibly with a play on words, and a unique style of headings.
Topical and informative both for the enthusiast and casual visitor.
