Global Economic Downturn: A Crisis of Political Economy | STRATFOR. Also, I show you a feline that is listed as LEAST CONCERN, unlike the global economic crisis that is MOST CONCERN. Not a domestic cat, not a true lynx, and not Walter Reed's cat either: The JUNGLE CAT (Felis chaus), formerly known as Reed Cat. Global Economic Downturn: A Crisis of Political Economy | STRATFOR

Also, I show you a feline that is listed as LEAST CONCERN, unlike the global economic crisis that is MOST CONCERN.
Not a domestic cat, not a true lynx, and not Walter Reed's cat either:
The JUNGLE CAT (Felis chaus), "the artist formerly known as" Reed Cat.

Jungle Cat range

"The jungle cat (Felis chaus) is a medium-sized cat and considered the largest remaining species of the wild cat genus Felis. The species is also called the swamp lynx but is not closely related to the lynxes.

Felis chaus is listed as Least Concern in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as it is widespread and common particularly in India
Population declines and range contraction are of concern, particularly in Egypt, in the Caucasus, and in southwesterncentral and Southeast Asia.[2]"
Can your pet cat climb down as well?
"The most distinctive feature of a jungle cat is the presence of equal-sized claws on both fore and hind legs (unlike those of common domestic cats, for example, where hind claws are normally longer and stronger than fore).
These allow it to climb down trees as easily as up, with its head facing downward.[citation needed]
The pawprints measure about 5×6cm, and a typical pace is 29–32cm.[3]

"The skull is fairly broad in the region of the zygomatic arch, which leads to its appearance of having a rounder head than some other cats. Their stomachs have also been found to contain up to 1,200g of food.[3"
"The jungle cat's main competitors are the jackal and forest cat.[3]"

Their most common predators include crocodilesbearswolves, and other larger felines such as tigers
When countered by a threat, the jungle cat will vocalize before engaging in attack, producing small roars, a behavior uncommon for domestic cats
The meow of the jungle cat is also somewhat lower than that of a typical domestic cat's.[3] In some cases, they jump on their attacker, but will usually retreat upon encountering larger threats.
There have been known cases of jungle cats attacking curious humans near their habitat, but their attack seems to pose no medical significance besides wound infection from clawing."

Males are not dogs, according to comedienne Wanda Sykes :) , but some really want to be perceived that way:  "During mating season, the male "barks", sounding like a large dog."

" Before birth, the mother prepares a den in an abandoned animal burrow, hollow tree, or reed bed."

What do YOU know about TAJIKISTAN?
Yeah, I thought so.
OK, let's fix that, shall we?

"Tajikistan (Listeni/tɑːˈkɨˌstɑːn/ or /təˈkɨstæn/ or (/tæˈkˌstæn/ Тоҷикистон [ˈtɔdʒikɪsˈtɔn]), officially the Republic of Tajikistan (Tajik:Ҷумҳурии Тоҷикистон, Çumhuriji Toçikiston;Persianجمهوری تاجیکستان Jomhuri-ye TajikestanRussian: Республика Таджикистан,Respublika Tadzhikistan), is a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia.  Afghanistan borders it to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and People's Republic of China to the east.

Tajikistan also lies adjacent to Pakistan's Chitral and the Gilgit-Baltistan region, separated by the narrow Wakhan Corridor.

Most of Tajikistan's population belongs to the Persian-speaking Tajik ethnic group, who share language, culture and history with Afghanistan and Iran
Once part of the Samanid Empire, Tajikistan became a constituent republic of the Soviet Union in the 20th century, known as the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic (Tajik SSR).
Mountains cover over 90% of this Central Asian republic.
After independence, Tajikistan suffered from a devastating civil war which lasted from 1992 to 1997.
Since the end of the war, newly established political stability and foreign aid have allowed the country's economy to grow.
Trade in commodities such as cottonaluminium and uranium has contributed greatly to this steady improvement."
In the top image, with the 4 WWF maxicards, what do YOU think is the source of that red color in the background?
Vegetation?
Geologic formations?
Blood?
