Cut-out from an index card, with an owl stamp and pictorial postmark from FRANKENSTEIN, MO 65016 |
|
The kumquats look like oranges, and the main subject of the stamp (Year of the Hare) is belittled [!] as a small drawing of a hare, barely visible, on the left side of the stamp. Pictorial postmark from Los Angeles, CA 90012, perfectly visible on the matte, folded card - which I can postcardize anytime, should I want. |

See how a simple, nice postmark can "put a locality on the map" for you, and many others? |

Happy PFF (Postcard Friendship Friday)!
Would that be HARE-splitting, Dorin? I too wondered why they didn't depict the hare, but then - we have little to say about stamp subjects. They (USPS) just recently announced that you don't have to be dead for ten or even five years to be considered suitable subject matter for a stamp.
ReplyDeleteWe still have a chance, Dorin!
I had no idea that there was a Frankenstein, Missouri...I once visited a place called Frankenstein in Germany, however...Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteOwls, orange, and who knew Frankenstein lived in Missouri???!!!!!! Some good fall stuff here.
ReplyDeleteIf cute kitties will sell products, cute kitties are what you get - Christmas, Valentine or Halloween, or, or, or ....
